In T. 9 N., R. 2 E.  On Agua Fria river.  Early day stage station and P.O. in Black canyon.  Also called Goddards after Charles V. Goddard.  P. O. established here as Canyon May 19, 1894, Charles V. Goddard, P. M.  See Goddards.
